Manual Lymphatic Drainage by a trained practitioner can non-invasively move fluid (edema)
in the skin leading to reduced inflammation and discomfort.
Manual Lymphatic Draining
What
is MLD?
Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a gentle massage to encourage the natural draining of lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissue to reduce swelling in a specific area. MLD uses a specific amount of pressure and rhythmic circular movements to stimulate lymph flow to relieve congestion, edema and swelling post-surgery or a sinus infection. Sometimes, MLD is done with tuning forks to use the sound vibration to help move unwanted concentrated fluid, often stuck in a specific area, into the lymph system. Most patients experience immediate relief and see a reduction in swelling post treatment.

How Manual Lymphatic Draining works

The number of treatments can vary per condition and patient. It is important for the patient to hydrate adequately at home between treatments to help optimize outcomes. The cost of MLD ranges from $75-$150 per session depending on the area being treated and time to complete.
Before and After Photos

Before Manual Lymphatic Draining

After Manual Lymphatic Draining
“I often suffer from chronic sinus infections in the wintertime. The pressure buildup in my head felt like it was going to explode. After four treatments with MLD in two weeks, my sinuses began draining with less pain in my cheeks, forehead and upper mouth. I was so relaxed during treatments that I often feel asleep. I was thrilled not to have to take more medication and expedite my healing more naturally.F rom now on, if I get another sinus infections, I am going to start MLD earlier.”
